Virginia is a board certified bilingual (English/Spanish) Physician Assistant. She is an honors graduate from the University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine. Prior to beginning her training as a PA, she was honorably discharged from the United States Navy where she was a hospital corpsman. While in the Navy, she received a Navy Achievement Medal for her work as an Orthopedic Surgical Technologist/First Assist.

She is an active member of the California Association of Physician Assistants.
